Perak [Labu Sayong Factory]

Intresting place for visit @ Perak

Labu Sayong factory

It is located at Kuala Kangsar
In here there is lots of pottery making which one of the famous is Labu Sayong (water clay flask to store water).
In this village all those pottery were made from traditional method.

This is the village where the Labu Sayong is made and the sales of the variety of earthen-wares produced from this village.  It is a centre which accommodate the pottery makers as well as other cottage industry players to exhibit their expertise and to provide them stalls to market their unique products.  Its area is roughly around 50 hectares.  Located on the opposite bank of the Perak River facing the Rest House and overlooking the Masjid Ubudiah and the Istana Iskandariah, this complex houses many buildings for exhibition, display, conferences and seminars. 

Before entering the village a big black Labu Sayong can be seen



















You can experience how to make your own Labu Sayong but it takes times (few days for the process to complete) and buy some of the post made product here

1/ Put the clay into the grinder



















2/ Then pour the clay to the below magic plaster things (white color cement dtuff)













3/ Then left it to dry then pour out the left over liquid the leave it there for few days
Sooner or later after few days product form as below.













Which crafting will take place at this time after that take to burn
